Croydon was certainly the place to be on March 22nd with our second South East G4C event. Sponsored by Constructing Excellence Croydon the evening focused on all things sustainable.

Willmott Dixon’s head of sustainability, Inga Geach, kick started things with an fascinating talk on sustainability within the construction industry, looking at key environmental, social and economic factors. The discussion certainly shed light on an array of hot topics outside the traditional views of sustainability.

Following Inga (and after a slight change to the original schedule), Jess James of JAW Sustainability presented on Passivhaus, providing the audience with an excellent snapshot of the role of Passivhaus in the UK, current issues and future trends within construction.

It was fantastic to see such a varied audience of young professionals from the industry discussing such an important subject. With circa 40 attendees, the evening certainly proved to be a success.

A big thank you to Connected Spaces for allowing the use of their incredible offices and supporting the event.
